Since 1971, rowers of all nationalities, ages and abilities have toured lakes, rivers, canals and seas in Europe, the Americas, Australia and Japan as participants in FISA World Rowing Tours. In order to be considered for a place on a FISA World Rowing Tour, participants must be a competent rowers and be able to row with both sweep and scull oars.

The World Rowing Tour in 2017 will be held in the Liguria region of Italy from 16th to 24th September. It will be FISA’s 54th World Rowing Tour.

The tour will take place in the Ligurian East coast from East to West.

Visit of the historic centre of Genoa and Palazzi dei Rolli – Unesco World Heritage, International Acquarium of Genoa.
(Alternative program: rowing the leg postponed in the event of adverse sea conditions)
Dinner party at Canottieri Genovesi ELPIS.

Should weather conditions be adverse, the following alternative program/s will be performed:

Visit to the cities /villages of Pietrasanta e Lunigiana; visit to white marble caves of Carrara
Visit /trekking in the Park of 5 Terre
Visit /trekking in the Park of Monte di Portofino
